Siempre trato de no olvidar que es gracias a los fans que tengo una carrera y mi Viaje a la Música no hubiera sido posible sin ellos

The Dead Daisies volvieron a pasar por Madrid llenando la sala Mon hasta la bandera y cargados de alegría y buen rollo. Tanto que Marco Mendoza tuvo tiempo para atender unas preguntas de Tony Gonzalez mientras viajaba de Madrid a Barcelona.

MiM - Dead Daisies se formaron hace cinco años. ¿Cúal es el balance de este lustro?

DD - ¿El balance? Bueno, hemos estado cinco años muy ocupados grabando y viajando. Cuatro discos y un Ep además de muchas giras por todo el mundo. Creo que hemos hecho muchos amigos y fans en todas partes con el tipo de música que estamos haciendo, y hasta el momento estamos muy contentos con el resultado.

MiM – Tu siempre dices, en cada conferencia de prensa, en cada entrevista, que Dead Daisies es “LA BANDA” y la gente debería prestaros más atencion. ¿Por qué?

DD – Habiendo estado en algunas pocas bandas a través de los años, puedo decir honestamente que esta banda, THE DEAD DAISIES tiene todos los factores y los elementos que demuestran un gran talento (sin sonar pretencioso). Sabemos como trabajar duro sobre el escenario y en el estudio. Podrías decir que estamos muy hambrientos y somos muy ambiciosos, siempre buscando grabar la mejor música posible y ofrecer también el mejor directo. La razón por la que siempre digo lo que me preguntas es porque somos considerados una banda nueva, pero cada uno de nosotros tiene mucha experiencia, y sabemos como tratar y hacer las cosas bien, tu sabes.

MiM – La banda estuvo en Madrid hace seis meses y ahora regresan. ¿Es que trabajan muy duro o es que les gusta Madrid?

DD – Ambas; la respuesta que hemos tenido desde España ha sido magnifica. Desde la primera vez que tocamos aqui nos dimos cuenta que teníamos toneladas de apoyo e interes, asi que nos hemos asegurado de regresar tantas veces como sea posible para tocar para nuestros amigos y fans en España. Y si, también trabajamos muy duro.

MiM - ¿Qué es exactamente The Daisyland Acoustic Performance?

DD – Es nuestra manera de decir gracias por el apoyo que nos dais en un set intimo y también una manera de pasar un rato compartiendo algunas historias y tocando algunas de nuestras canciones favoritas con guitarras acusticas, un bajo y un pequeño set de percusión. También nos da tiempo a hacer un pequeño “Meet and Greet”, hacernos fotos y regalar algunos posters, haciendolo todo de una manera agradable, dándole un momento especial a nuestros amigos y a nosotros mismos. Es un momento que disfrutamos realmente.

MiM – Hemos visto que ustedes siempre tienen tiempo para los fans, mucho tiempo en realidad. ¿De dónde sacais ese buen humor? ¿No se han cansado alguna vez de estar seguidos siempre por los fans?

DD – Voy a responder por mi. Siempre trato de no olvidar que es gracias a los fans que tengo una carrera y mi Viaje a la Música no hubiera sido posible sin ellos. por eso siempre estoy cerca de lo que yo llamo Actitud y Gratitud y me aseguro de hacerles saber a todos, siempre que sea posible, que los aprecio

MiM – Me gusta mucho la banda, disfruté tambien Viva la Rock (disco solista de Marco Mendoza) al igual que todos los Cd’s de Dead Daisies y les deseo a toda la banda una larga vida. Te deseo lo mejor y espero poder hablar contigo de nuevo personalmente cuando sea posible (hablamos en el Hellfest 2017 hace dos años)

ENGLISH VERSION

MiM - Dead Daisies was founded five years ago. What is the balance in these last five years?

DD - The Balance? well we have been pretty busy recording and touring. Four Albums, One EP  and many many tours all over the Globe , i think we have made lots of friends and fans along the way with the kind of music we are doing ..  so we are pretty happy with the results so far ……

MiM - You always said, at any press conference, in any interview, that Dead Daisies is THE BAND, and the people should pay more attention to them. Why?  

DD - Having been in a few bands through out the years I can honestly say that this Band  THE DEAD DAISIES has all the factors and the elements that make up a Great bunch of Talent …. ( without sounding pretentious ) we know how to work hard on stage and in the studio, you could say that we are very hungry and ambitious , always looking to record the best music possible and put on the best live show as well …… The reason might be that we are considered a new band but between all of us we have lots of experience  and  so  we know now  how to try and do it right, you know ?

MiM - You were here in Madrid six months ago and now you are coming back. You are really hard working people or Madrid likes you a lot?

DD - Its both, the response we have been getting in Spain has been great, from the very first time we played there we realized we had tons of support and interest , so we make sure we come back as much as possible to play for our friends and fans in Spain, and yes we are working hard as well.

MiM - What is exactly The Daisyland Acoustic Performance?

DD - Its our way of saying thank you for the support  in an intimate setting and also  a way to spend some time sharing a few stories and playing some favorite songs with acoustic guitars , bass and small drum set , we also take time to meet and mreet, take pics and past out some posters, so all and all its a cool and special time for ours friends, fans and ourselves. We are all  really enjoying it

MiM - We have seen you always have time for the fans, a lot of time. Where do you get your good mood to?  Aren’t you tired of being followed by the fans in some moments of your life?

DD - For me, I always try not to forget, that its is because of the fans that I have a career and my Journey in Music wouldn’t be possible without them , so I stay close to what I call the Attitude of Gratitude  and make sure I let them know they are appreciated as much as possible.

MiM - I enjoy the band a lot, I enjoyed Viva la Rock a lot and all the Dead Daisies CD’s and I wish Long Live to the band. Best wishes and I hope to talk with you again in person. (We spoke at Hellfest 2017 two years ago)
