La banda de Metal Moderno/Progresivo de Moldavia, Infected Rain, lanzará el álbum en vivo  (BluRay) 'The Devil's Dozen', que incluye momentos de conciertos exclusivos brindados por la banda. MiM: Echando la vista atrás, ¿cómo fueron esos inicios cuando apenas te iniciabas en el complicado mundo de la música? ¿Qué recuerdos tienes de aquellos tiempos?

IR: Mirando hacia atrás, a nuestros comienzos, fue una época de emoción y exploración. No fue un comienzo fácil, pero nos apasionaba crear nuestro propio sonido y sumergirnos en el mundo de la música. Tenemos buenos recuerdos de esos primeros días, donde cada experiencia era nueva y el deseo de crecer como banda era fuerte. ¡Y todavía lo es!

MiM: “The Devil's Dozen” (Napalm Records, 2023) es un impresionante espectáculo de larga duración que abarca los últimos quince años de la historia de la banda con una producción increíble, efectos especiales y una energía increíble. ¿Cómo describes esa experiencia?

IR: "The Devil's Dozen" es sin duda una experiencia increíble para nosotros. Captura la energía, la pasión y la intensidad de nuestras presentaciones en vivo a lo largo de los años. Nos sentimos agradecidos por la oportunidad de compartir una experiencia tan única con nuestros fanáticos. Nunca antes filmamos una gran presentación en vivo con tal producción.

MiM: En "The Devil's Dozen" la banda se muestra de una manera impresionante, consolidándose como una de las bandas modernas más impactantes dentro de la escena del metal extremo; desatando riffs resonantes, electrónica cósmica, ritmos progresivos, que junto a la excelente voz de Lena hacen explotar el escenario. ¿Qué tan importante es para Infected Rain darlo todo en el escenario? ¿Cuáles son las principales ideas y decisiones que tomas cuando te preparas para un concierto?

IR: Para Infected Rain, darlo todo sobre el escenario es fundamental. Creemos que nuestras presentaciones en vivo deben ser una experiencia memorable para nuestra audiencia. Cuando nos preparamos para un concierto, nos enfocamos en generar emociones, relacionarnos con nuestros fanáticos y asegurarnos de que nuestra energía sea contagiosa.

MiM: Lena, no solo eres una vocalista con habilidades vocales excepcionales, sino que también tienes una proyección escénica impresionante, explosiva y contundente. Capaz de transmitir una energía increíble. ¿Cuéntame sobre eso? ¿Tienes formación académica o eres empírico?

RI: En primer lugar, ¡gracias! En cuanto a mi formación, no tengo ninguna formación académica formal en música. Mis habilidades vocales y mi presencia en el escenario se han desarrollado a través de la práctica, la experiencia y el aprendizaje de maestros increíbles.

MiM: En los últimos años ha habido un resurgimiento de la escena liderada por vocalistas femeninas, y en este panorama sin duda tú estás en la cima. ¿Cómo lo ves?

IR: ¡Siento que el género no debería ser un factor limitante en ninguna carrera! Lo que realmente importa es la búsqueda de la pasión, el trabajo duro y el amor por la música. Dicho esto, estoy genuinamente orgullosa de ser parte de este creciente movimiento y espero que mi viaje pueda inspirar y alentar a más mujeres a seguir sus aspiraciones musicales.

MiM: Excelente diseño de portada. ¿Quién estaba a cargo?

IR: Nuestro diseño de portada fue creado por un artista talentoso que entendió nuestra visión y capturó la esencia de "The Devil's Dozen" a la perfección. Su nombre es Peter Sallai.

MiM: Sois una banda con quince años de formación, con discos y muchos conciertos en su carrera. Mirando hacia atrás, ¿cómo calificarías el trabajo de la banda todos estos años?

IR: Reflexionando sobre nuestra carrera hasta el momento, estamos verdaderamente agradecidos por las oportunidades que hemos tenido para progresar y crecer como banda. Creemos que nuestro desarrollo continuo es lo que más nos importa, y damos la bienvenida a otros para que evalúen y aprecien nuestro viaje a su manera, si así lo desean.

MiM: ¿Qué planes tienes para promocionar este álbum? 

IR: Para promocionar "The Devil's Dozen", estamos planeando conciertos y giras para este año. Estamos emocionados de llevar nuestra música a nuestros fanáticos en vivo y compartir estas experiencias únicas con ellos en vivo.

MiM: Finalmente, quería que se sintieran libres de compartir algunas palabras con sus fans y nuestros lectores.

 "I feel that gender should not be a limiting factor in any career!"

Modern/Progressive Metal band from Moldavia, Infected Rain will release the live album The Devil's Dozen, which includes a broadcast of exclusive concerts given by the band. It will be available on April 14 under the prestigious record label Napalm Records. Excellent opportunity for Made in Metal to talk with the singer Lena Scissorhands.

MiM: Looking back, what were those beginnings like when you were just beginning in the complicated world of music? What memories do you have of those times?

IR: Looking back at our beginnings, it was a time of excitement and exploration. It was not an easy beginning but, we were passionate about creating our own sound and diving into the world of music. We have fond memories of those early days when every experience was new and the desire to grow as a band was strong. And it still is! 

MiM: “The Devil's Dozen” (Napalm Records, 2023) is an impressive full-length show spanning the last fifteen years of the band's history with incredible production, special effects, and incredible energy!! How do you describe that experience?

IR: "The Devil's Dozen" is indeed an incredible experience for us. It captures the energy, passion, and intensity of our live performances over the years. We feel grateful for the opportunity to share such a unique experience with our fans. We have never before filmed a big live performance with such a production. 

MiM: In "The Devil's Dozen" the band shows itself in an impressive way, establishing itself as one of the most impressive modern bands within the extreme metal scene; unleashing resonant riffs, cosmic electronics, progressive rhythms, which together with Lena's excellent voice make the stage explode. How important is it for Infected Rain to give it their all on stage? What are the main ideas and decisions you make when preparing for a concert?

IR: For Infected Rain, giving our all on stage is essential. We believe that our live performances should be a memorable experience for our audience. When preparing for a concert, we focus on delivering emotions, engaging with our fans, and ensuring that our energy is contagious. 

MiM: Lena, you are not only a vocalist with exceptional vocal skills, but also has an impressive, explosive, and forceful stage projection. Able of transmitting incredible energy. Tell me about it. Do you have an academic background or you are empirical?

IR: First of all, thank you! As for my background, I don't have any formal academic training in music. My vocal skills and stage presence have been developed through practice, experience, and learning from amazing teachers.

MiM: In recent years there has been a revival of the scene led by female vocalists, and in this panorama and you are undoubtedly well on top. How do you see it? 

IR: I feel that gender should not be a limiting factor in any career! What truly matters is the pursuit of one's passion, hard work, and love for music. That being said, I am genuinely proud to be part of this growing movement and hope that my journey can inspire and encourage more women to follow their musical aspirations.

MiM: Excellent cover design. Who was in charge?

IR: Our cover design was created by a talented artist who understood our vision and captured the essence of "The Devil's Dozen" perfectly. His name is Peter Sallai. 

MiM: You are a band with fifteen years of formation, with records and many concerts in their career. Looking back, how would you rate the work of the band all these years?

IR: Reflecting on our career thus far, we are truly grateful for the opportunities we've had to progress and grow as a band. We believe that our continuous development is what matters most to us, and we welcome others to evaluate and appreciate our journey in their own way if they choose to do so.

MiM: What plans do you have to promote this Album? 

IR: To promote "The Devil's Dozen," we're planning concerts and tours for this year. We're excited to bring our music to our fans live and share these unique experiences with them live.
