Hola chicos ¿Qué tal? ¿Qué están haciendo ahora mismo?

Hola. Estamos esperando que “Gravity” salga y nos estamos preparando para hacer los primeros conciertos de apoyo al nuevo álbum. ¡No podemos esperar para salir a la carretera de nuevo!

He tenido la oportunidad de escuchar el nuevo álbum y suena muy poderoso. Pienso que les gustará a los fans.  ¡Felicidades por el resultado! ¿Cómo ha sido el proceso de grabación de Gravity?

¡Gracias tío! Sería interesante si el nuevo disco encontrara algunos seguidores. El proceso de grabación fue como siempre. Marc comenzó a reunir ideas en abril, trabajando junto a nuestro productor Benny Richter. Yo fue reuniendo ideas para las letras también y al final lo unimos todo. Cuando comenzamos a grabar cambiamos algunas partes, completamos con  nuevas letras y así continuamos, es lo usual durante el proceso de grabación. Fue muy importante para nosotros que todo fuera perfecto… a veces es extenuante pero también conlleva un montón de diversión.

¿Ha llevado algún reto? ¿Han tenido que exprimirse el cerebro para escribir estas nuevas canciones o este fluyó con facilidad?.

Es siempre un reto para una banda el escribir nuevas canciones. Siempre tratas de mejorar y mejorar. Aun así el proceso no fue del todo malo. ;)

Creo que las letras han sido fáciles de componer teniendo en cuenta la situación del mundo ahora mismo. ¿Qué piensas de ello?

La mayoría de las letras nada tienen que ver con la situación del mundo a excepción de un par de ellas. Las letras son acerca de la vida, el amor, la muerte, la unión y el mundo en general. Pero tienes razón, porque las letras ayudan mientras la mierda sigue pasando.

En este nuevo disco tienen algunos invitados: Jamie Graham de Heart Of A Coward, Marcel Gadacz y Zachary Britt de Dream On Dreamer y Alissa White-Gluz de Arch Enemy, que aparece en el corte “The Ocean’s Heart,” una de las canciones más oscuras. ¿Cómo se llevó a cabo esta colaboración?

Estamos muy contentos de tener estos invitados en nuestro disco, ¡ellos hicieron un magnífico trabajo! La colaboración fue bastante fácil en la era digital en la que vivimos. Cuando los vocalistas estuvieron de acuerdo en trabajar con nosotros les enviamos las partes que debían hacer con algunas ideas y las letras que teníamos. De esta manera todos estuvieron libres de expresarse por sí mismos y el resultado fue muy bueno.

Han trabajado de nuevo con Benny Richter, vuestro guitarrista Marc Görtz y el co-productor Marcel Neumann. Creo que se sienten cómodos trabajando con Benny, ¿No?

¡Pues si! Desde que comenzamos a producir juntos siempre hemos tenido un buen sentimiento cuando vamos al estudio, o escribimos una nueva canción, porque nos conocemos muy bien el uno a los otros, sabemos lo que queremos, como obtenerlo y como dejarlo terminado.

Hay muy buenas canciones en el CD. Me gustaría destacar algunas como: “Paralyzed,” mi favorita “Left for Dead,” “Walk Alone,” y la final “Hurricane,” un Tesoro escondido con un toque hardcore y buenas melodías. ¿Han pensado filmar un videoclip con algunas de estas canciones?

“Paralyzed” fue nuestro primer single y el vídeo del mismo aún está en el proceso de edición. En este punto no puedo decirte acerca de las otras canciones que serán usadas para grabar videoclips, aun es un secreto. ;)

Siempre me ha gustado el Groove de vuestras guitarras, esta vez el sonido es espectacular una vez más. ¿Hay algún nuevo truco para sonar tan poderosos como ustedes suenan en el disco o lo han grabado de la manera habitual?

Marc trabajó mucho con el sonido de las guitarras, de hecho, y como siempre, está muy contento con el resultado. Estaba buscando un sonido que combinara el de los dos últimos discos, con mucha pesadez y agresividad. Pienso que hizo un magnífico trabajo aquí.

Me gustaría felicitarte Andreas por tu técnica vocal. Haces un trabajo impresionante. Lo mismo que Denis Schmidt, las diferentes líneas vocales dan un toque personal a vuestra propuesta musical.

¡Gracias, hice lo que pude! Fue la primera vez que hacia las partes vocales limpias también. Dennis hizo los coros y armonías esta vez. Hizo los estribillos de alguna manera más intensos, agresivos y melódicos al mismo tiempo.

El CD suena muy bien y la producción es apabullante. ¿Es “Gravity” vuestro mejor trabajo? ¿Cómo y por qué recomendarías escucharlo?

Sería aburrido de decir: “es nuestro mejor disco, nuestra mejor producción, es el mejor de todos y así seguiríamos,” pero pusimos un montón de energía, sudor y alma en el disco, y estamos muy felices con el resultado, el sonido y las canciones de “Gravity”. Las canciones son muy poderosas, agresivas, oscuras y sobre todo con algunas agradables melodías. ¡Pero depende de ti si te gusta o no!

La portada de “Gravity” es bastante minimalista para decirlo de alguna manera. ¿Cómo surgió la idea?

Estuvimos buscando algo simple, algo que se quedara atascado en tu cabeza y quedamos contentos cuando Marcel de Dream On Dreamer vino con esta idea tan simple y fantástica como portada.

Tengo un agradable recuerdo de la primera vez que los vi en directo, que fue en el Furyfest 2004 en Francia. Tenéis un buen directo. En la próxima gira europea en la que están trabajando, ¿Estará incluida España?

Hey guys, what’s up? What are you doing right now?

Hola. We're waiting for “Gravity” come to life and we're getting ready for the first shows with the new album. We can't wait to hit the road again!

I have the opportunity to listen to your new album and it seems very powerful to me. I think it will like your fans? Congratulation for the results? How has been the recording process of “Gravity”?

Thank you man! It would be great if the new record would find some followers ; ) The recording process was like always, Marc started collecting ideas around April and worked everything out with our producer Benny Richter. I was collecting ideas for the lyrics as well and in the end we put all together...when we started recording we changed some parts, wrote new lyric lines and so on...the usual work during the recording process in the studio. It was very important for us, that everything's perfect...sometimes it was exhausting, but it also made a lot of fun!!!

It has been a challenge? Have you had to squeeze your brain to write all these new songs or the writing process flow easily?

It's always a challenge for a band writing new songs. You always try to get better and improve yourself... -but besides that, the process was not too bad ; )

I guess that the lyrics have been easier taking account the world situation just right now. What do you think about?

Most of the lyrics have nothing to do with the world situation, except of a couple...but the lyrics are about life, love, death, cohesion and the world in general. But you're right, because it always helps if shit is going on...

In this new LP you had some guess: Jamie Graham from Heart Of A Coward, Marcel Gadacz and Zachary Britt from Dream On Dreamer and Alissa White-Gluz from Arch Enemy, she appears in the track “The Ocean’s Heart,” one of the darkest songs. How was this collaboration?

We are very happy to have these guests on our record and they all did a great job! The collaboration was quite easy in the digital era we live in. When the singers gave their ok to work with us, we just sent them the parts they should do with some ideas and lyrics we had. So everyone was free to express themselves and it worked just fine!

You have again worked with Benny Richter, your guitar player Marc Görtz and Marcel Neumann co-producing. I guess you feel comfortable working with Benny, don´t you?

Yes we do! Since we started to produce in this constellation we always have a good feeling going to the studio, or write new songs, because we know each other well by now, we know what we want and how we get it done...

There are great songs in this CD. I would like to mark “Paralyzed,” mi favorite “Left for Dead,” “Walk Alone,” and the final “Hurricane,” a hidden treasure with a hardcore touch and good melodies. Have you thinking to film some of these songs for a videoclip?

Paralyzed will be our first single and the video for it is already in working process. At this point I can't tell you about the other songs who will be used for a video...it's still a secret ; )

I always like your guitar’s Groove, This time the sound is spectacular one more time. Is there a new trick to sound as powerful as you sound it here or have you done it as usual?

Marc worked a lot on the guitar sound...actually like always and he was very happy with the turn out...he was looking for a sound which combines the last two records...a lot of aggression and heaviness...i think he made a great job there!

I would like to congratulate Andreas for this vocal technique. What a fucking good Singer! The same to Denis Schmidt, the vocal lines variations gives a personal touch to your musical proposal.

Thank you, I did my best!!! It was the first time for me doing the clean parts as well. Denis just did the backings/harmonies this time. It makes the refrains more intense in some way, aggressive and melodic at the same time!

The Cd sounds great and the production is overwhelming. Is “Gravity” your best work? How and why do you recommend to listening it to?

It would be boring to say: “It's our best album, best production, best everything and so on...”, but we put a lot of energy, sweat and lifeblood in it and we are very happy with the result, the sound and songs of “Gravity”. The songs are very powerful, aggressive, dark and on top they come with some nice melodies...but it's up to you if you'll like it or not!

The cover of “Gravity” is so minimalist to say something. How the idea of the cover rises up?

We were looking for something simple, something that will stuck in your head and we're very happy that Marcel from “Dream On Dreamer” came up with this simple and great idea and artwork!!!

I have a pleasant memory from the first time we saw you alive in Furyfest 2004 in France. You are really good alive. In the next European tour you are working is Spain include?
